Guest lecturers: Václav Janoščík & Jakub Ferenc

– This lecture focused on the work of Alex Williams and Nick Srnicek’s work Inventing The Future which primarily calls for an “accelerationist politics at ease with a modernity of abstraction, complexity, globality and technology”.

Surveying thinkers aligned with the dromological vector of Accelerationism questions emerge as to how concepts of Politics, Representation, and Technology can be refashioned and through what means and towards what ends? Srnicek and William’s program emphasizes harnessing the potentials of Universal Basic Income, Automated Labor, and technologies to serve as a rallying point to generate strategies, designs, and platforms that enable navigating and transforming the contemporary Neoliberal terrain. Fundamentally, the question focused here becomes what visions are needed to arise to propels us out of a stagnated and asphyxiating present “towards a future that must be cracked open once again, unfastening our horizons towards the universal possibilities of the Outside”.

CZ : Přednáška se zaměří na práci Alexe Williamse a Nicka Srniceka Inventing the Future, které si primárně klade za cíl představovat “akceleracionistickou politiku srozuměnou s modernitou abstrakce, komplexity, globality a technologií”. Přehled filozofů spojených s dromologickým směrem Akceleracionismu klade otázky ohledně způsobu jakým může být politika, reprezentace, a technologie přetvořena. Jakými prostředky, a za jakým účelem? Program Srniceka a Williamse se zastává východisek univerzálního základního příjmu, automatizace práce, a tvorbě platform, které umožní zorientovat se a překonat v paradigmatu soudobého neoliberalismu. Základní otázka bude, které vize jsou zapotřebí k překonání dusivé přítomnosti směrem k nové budoucnosti a “novým horizontům, směrem k univerzálním možnostem vesmíru”.
